Join Me in Alaska! Our Personally Escorted May 2027 Group Cruise & Rail Adventure

A majestic view of the Hubbard Glacier with a Celebrity cruise ship in the foreground

Hi there, friends! I am just sitting here with my coffee, looking at the calendar and feeling a huge swell of excitement. You know how much I love sharing the beauty of God’s creation with all of you, and there is one place on this Earth that truly takes my breath away every single time: Alaska.

In 2027 we are partnering with Jerry at Cruise and Tour Supermarket in Sebring, FL who has offered this same trip for over 50 years. In fact, 2027 will be the 53rd annual group Alaska cruise. Every detail has been meticulously planned and refined to make your Alaska adventure a trip for the ages.

It has been a dream of mine to put together something truly special, not just a trip I book for you, but a journey we take together. I am so beyond thrilled to officially invite you to join me for our Personally Escorted May 2027 Alaska Group Cruise & Rail Adventure! 🏔️🚢✨

Starting May 21, 2027, we are heading north for a 15-day journey that covers it all, from the golden heart of the interior in Fairbanks to the stunning coastal beauty of Vancouver. And the sweetest part is that this entire trip will be hosted and escorted by Gina and Travis Rogers, so you can travel with the comfort of knowing we’ll be right there with you every step of the way. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or this is your very first big adventure, we’ve got you covered!

Why May is the Magic Month

People often ask me, "Gina, when is the best time to see Alaska?" While every season has its charm, there is something absolutely miraculous about Alaska in late May. The flowers are just starting to bloom, the mountains are still capped with brilliant white snow, and the wildlife is waking up for the season.

Plus, the days are getting so long! We’ll have plenty of daylight to soak up every single "wow" moment. It’s the perfect time to kick back, breathe in that crisp mountain air, and witness the world coming alive.

Part 1: The Heart of the Land (Fairbanks to Seward)

Our journey begins in Fairbanks, the "Golden Heart City." We’ll spend a few days immersing ourselves in the local culture, including a ride on a historic paddleboat and a visit to a gold dredge. It’s such a fun way to step back in time and feel the spirit of the pioneers!

Journey at a Glance

Before we board our beautiful 7-night Celebrity cruise, we’ll enjoy an unforgettable land tour through Alaska’s breathtaking interior and coastline, and Gina and Travis Rogers will be right there hosting the journey every step of the way. Here’s the day-by-day short version so you can easily picture the adventure ahead:

  • Day 1: Flight to Fairbanks, then settle in at Pike’s Waterfront Lodge

  • Days 2–3:Fairbanks — enjoy the Riverboat Discovery, a Fairbanks City Tour with North Pole, then board the Wilderness Express Domed Rail to Denali

  • Days 4–5:Denali — stay at Denali Park Village, experience the Tundra Wilderness Tour, Denali Jeep Adventure, and Denali Cabin Nite Dinner and Show, then ride the Wilderness Express to Anchorage

  • Day 6:Anchorage — overnight at Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites, with visits to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center and Turnagain Pass

  • Days 7–8:Seward — stay at Harbor360 Hotel and enjoy the Kenai Fjords National Park Glacier and Wildlife Tour

  • Days 8–15: Sail the Celebrity Solstice Glacier Route Cruise, featuring Hubbard Glacier, Juneau, Skagway, Icy Strait Point, Ketchikan, and the Inside Passage

  • Day 15: Flight home

It’s such a beautiful blend of scenic rail travel, majestic mountain moments, glacier-filled waters, and those sweet shared memories that make a trip like this so special. We can already picture all of us soaking it in together!

From there, we head into the wild beauty of Denali National Park. Friends, if you haven’t seen Denali (formerly Mt. McKinley), you are in for a treat. It is majestic beyond words. We’ll have dedicated time for wildlife excursions, keep your cameras ready for moose, bears, and eagles!

One of the highlights I’m most excited about is our ride on the Wilderness Express.

Travelers enjoying the views from the glass-domed Wilderness Express rail car

This isn't just a train ride; it’s a luxury experience. Imagine sitting in a glass-domed rail car, reclining in a comfortable seat, and watching the Alaskan wilderness roll by while sipping a hot drink. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and it’s the most relaxing way to travel from Fairbanks down to Anchorage and Seward. If you've been wondering which is better, a land tour or a cruise, the answer is: why choose? We're doing both!

Part 2: The Celebrity Glacier Route

After we’ve explored the land, it’s time to board our beautiful Celebrity Cruises ship in Seward. This is where we transition from the rugged interior to the vibrant blue waters of the coast.

Witnessing the Hubbard Glacier

Our first full day on the water is one you will never forget. We’ll be cruising to the Hubbard Glacier. Now, let me tell you, photos do not do this giant justice. It is over six miles wide and hundreds of feet tall. As we sit on the deck (maybe with a cozy blanket!), we’ll listen for the "white thunder", the sound of massive chunks of ice calving off into the sea. It is a powerful reminder of the incredible world we live in.

Our Port Adventures

After the awe-inspiring experience at Hubbard, we’ll spend the next few days exploring the charming towns of the Inside Passage. I’ll be providing detailed port guides for each of these as we get closer, but here is a little sneak peek of where we are going:

  • Juneau: Alaska’s capital city is tucked away at the base of Mt. Roberts. You can visit the Mendenhall Glacier or maybe join me for a whale-watching tour!

  • Skagway: This town feels like a movie set from the Gold Rush era. We can ride the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad or just stroll through the historic streets.

  • Icy Strait Point: This is a truly unique stop. It’s owned by the local Tlingit people, offering an authentic look at Alaskan culture and some of the best wildlife viewing in the state.

  • Ketchikan: Known as the "Salmon Capital of the World" and the gateway to the Misty Fjords. The colorful buildings on Creek Street are a must-see!

And before we arrive in Vancouver, our final day of the cruise portion will be spent peacefully cruising the Inside Passage. It’s such a relaxing finale, giving us time to soak in the scenery, reflect on all the unforgettable moments we’ve shared, and simply enjoy one last beautiful day on the water together.

Traveling with a Personal Touch

The reason we wanted to escort this group personally is because we believe travel is about more than just checking boxes on a map. It’s about the laughter shared over a meal, the quiet moments of reflection while looking at a glacier, and the new friendships that form when we explore together.

As your hosts, Gina and Travis Rogers will be there to help handle the "glitches" so you can focus on the memories. We’ll have group meet-ups, shared dinners, and maybe even a few surprises along the way! Whether you’re coming as a couple, a family, or a solo traveler looking for a community, you will have a place with us.
